Website Planning
I have decided that I would like the logo for my Website at the top of my page and stand out, I would like this to be on every page of my website. I got this idea from every website I have researched.
I would also like my navigation at the top of the screen because I think this is the best place to have it, I think having the navigation on top of the page makes it easier to navigate through the website, not only does it make it easier to use I think it puts a professional look to the website witch I want to do.
I would like the background of my website to be revaluate to my website I would also like to have a different background on each page on my website, I got this idea from the MTV website this keep the website interesting.

4Music
Another website i looked at in our media lesson was 4music, i looked at who the site was aimed at , the genre colours, fonts and images used. The logo for the website is at the top of the screen and stays there.
I again i looked at the navigation because again like MTV the navigation was at the top of the page. i think that it makes the site easier to navigate through the website, i also like that when you put the mouse over the tab to changes colour.unlike MTV navigation there aren't any drop down boxes when you click on them instead you are navigate to another page on the website

The next website that I have researched is E4.com
E4 is a television channel aimed at a teenager and young adult audience and again like MTV E4 is a unisex website and is. E4 is part of the channel 4 family.
The page enables you to play videos previewing the latest programs being broad casted on the channel. I thought this is an effective way to promote up and coming/ new programs.
The background is a school chalkboard advertising the new series of 'The Inbetweeners'.
The colours used on the website are white and purple, this matches the colours found in E4 logo, This may be a good idea for my own website to keep a similar colour scheme through out.

We where asked to look at what audience the site was aimed at. the genre ( colours, fonts and images used). We also looked at where and how the navigation worked how easy the layout was e.g how easy it was to find things. The first thing i decided to look at was the Navigation.
The navigation was at the top of the page and the font was clear and bold this meant that it was easy to work you way through the site. The tabs bars were easy to use, to navigate through the site all you needed to do was to hover over the tab bars and a drop down list would appear giving easy directions and direct links the the content you are looking for.
MTV is a unisex websitefor teens to young adults this meant that MTV had a wide audience and still has the potential and room to grow in the future. the website used many bright and vibrant colours which where eye catching which showed that it was not aimed at on gender and at certain age groups. The font style was very simple and easy to read. The Font was black this meant that it wouldn't get lost in the colourful background.

I have thought of many different TV channels that teens watch. There isn’t many teen TV channels, but there are many channels which have programs aimed at teenagers which include BBC Three, Channel 4, and E4.Music channels include 4music, MTV and Viva . Programmes on Channel 4 and E4 for teenagers include Skins, Shameless and the Inbetweeners.BBC Three shows programmes popular amongst teens such as Family Guy and Young, dumb and living off mum and how not to live your life.
I will do some research into websites in order to be ready to create my own websites. I have decided to research three websites these will be MTV, 4Music and E4
